The New Year is upon us. We’ve said, “Good-bye” to 2007 and said, “Hello” to 2008. It’s time to take down those Christmas decorations so we can start all over again. Exactly what does a “new” year mean to you? Is it time to start over, time for a new beginning, time to refresh, time to renew, time to look back, or time to look forward? Scriptures use the word “new” frequently in reference to the Christian journey. Here are a few examples:
As you make plans and resolutions for 2008, I pray you will place your faith and trust in God – for he is the only one who has the ability to make all things new – even us! (Revelation 21:5)
