Subject: Why Our New Name?

Dear Friend,

Why our NEW NAME?

People in our church neighborhood kept asking, "Are you Christian?" when they heard our former name, "Worldwide Church of God. Now, our new name, South Bay Christian Church" makes it clear that we are Christian. And SOUTH BAY tells where our church is focusing its work. We have been here now for almost 40 years. God has blessed us with 5 congregations in the greater Bay area. And our future is totally committed to prayer and the leadership of Jesus Christ.

Our tag line in smaller print, a congregation of the Worldwide Church of God, shows we are affiliated with our inspiringly transformational headquarter's church in Pasadena, California, and also that we have congregations all around the world. You are always welcome at South Bay Christian. We are multi-cultural and highly respect and honor all nationalities. God has called all Christians to love one another, no matter what. This is unconditional love. God IS love. Love is what a Christian Church does. Love is what every human being needs. Come experience God's love in action and see for yourself whether our name, South Bay CHRISTIAN really is who we are.
